Mission

 

 Egalité Renaissance Congo is a non –Profit organization led by a group of human rights  defenders  committed to promoting equality of rights and empowering the LGBTQ+ community in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We strive to build an inclusive future by providing capacity-building opportunities, professional training, and psychosocial support specially designed for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals.

Our vision, guided by human rights principles, is of a Congolese society where every individual, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, is respected, equal in rights, and has the opportunity to thrive fully. We aspire to create an environment where diversity is celebrated, discrimination is eradicated, and the LGBTQ+ community flourishes

  1. Capacity Building:

    • We offer educational programs aimed at strengthening the personal, professional, and social skills of LGBTQ+ community members.

  2. Professional Training:

    • We provide courses in hairstyling, baking, sewing, as well as computer training, including computer maintenance, programming initiation, and digital citizenship skills.

  3. Psychosocial Support:

    • We offer psychological and emotional support services to help our members overcome challenges related to their sexual or gender identity.

    • We engage in ongoing advocacy for equal rights, the elimination of discrimination, and the creation of a safe and inclusive environment for all.

  2. Community Networking:

    • We establish community support networks to strengthen solidarity and promote social inclusion.

    • We implement initiatives to empower our members with computer skills, including computer maintenance, coding initiation, and the promotion of digital activism to increase their impact in society.

Rainbow Resilience Program (Capacity Building)

Through legal advocacy, emergency assistance, and strategic partnerships with local and international organizations, we work tirelessly to uphold the rights and dignity of all LGBTQ+ people in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
